A Place of Resort

A WEA history course led by landscape historian Richard Clarke which aims to draw attention to the history of urban public spaces.

The five sessions will focus on how the present provision of public parks, recreation grounds, allotments and cemeteries has come about particular in the Humberside region.

Music of the First World War

Graham Saunders explores the music written during the War which gives a very accurate account of its procedure from Land of hope and Glory at the beginning, down to despair in the middle and then back up to elation at victory.

This is a WEA course and costs £10.  Many WEA courses are free if in receipt of means tested benefits.
