St Peter's Church
St Peter's is one of the most studied parish churches in England. The church features a remarkably complete Anglo-Saxon tower and baptistry, dating mainly from the 10th century. There is also a large medieval nave and chancel that displays a range of architectural styles. If you are planning to visit the church please check the opening times.

51 Fleetgate
An interesting place to visit while in Barton is 51 Fleetgate, a grade II* listed building thought to be the oldest residential house in North Lincolnshire. This is run by Barton Civic Society, a local societie whose aims are to preserve and enhance the historic fabric of the town of Barton upon Humber and to promote interest in the town.

The Ropewalk
Ropewalk Contemporary Art & Craft is a regionally acclaimed centre for the visual arts housing three galleries within a Grade II listed former rope factory. Facilities include artists studios, Garden Gallery, Coffee Shop & Ropery Hall, a venue for live music, theatre & cinema.

Waters Edge Country Park
The Waters Edge Country Park and visitor centre is set in an 86-acre park and celebrates the wildlife and unique environment of the Humber estuary. These are explored through interactive displays, live images and games activities, designed to appeal to all ages.

Baysgarth Museum
Set in over 30 acres of grounds, this once ancestral home of the Nelthorpe family is now a museum. With exhibitions held throughout the year, the museum has visual displays as well as Georgian and Victorian period rooms displaying 18th and 19th century pottery and porcelain. The surrounding Baysgarth Park is thought to be the last remnant of the extensive 'vivarium' mentioned in a mid 11th century charter and has facilities for all the family.

Humber Bridge
Opened in 1981 this spectacular bridge was once the largest single span suspension bridge in the world. From the walk and cycle ways there are panoramic views of East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. The best views of the bridge are from the south bank viewing area where there are toilets and a children's play area at the nearby Waters' Edge County Park and Visitor Centre.

Baysgarth Leisure Centre
The newly refurbished Baysgarth Leisure Centre has a swimming pool and other sports facilities including gym, football pitches and tennis courts – all situated in the picturesque Baysgarth Park.
