Christmas Past & Yuletide Fair

Saturday 28th November, 1pm -5pm

Pop into the School on Christmas Festival day.  Christmas Past includes the only Victorian Father Christmas in Barton resplendent in traditional Victorian green!  Grown-ups can enjoy mulled wine and mince pies around the classroom fire while children can make a Victorian Christmas decoration.  There will be indoor stalls too and lots of Christmas stocking ideas in the Joseph Wright Hall adjacent to the School Museum.

The Museum is open from 10am as usual – the fair begins at 1pm.

Interruption to Wilderspin Schoolroom

Our first Winter exhibition by the Wilderspin Art Group will be running from Saturday 28th November until Friday 4th December.

The exhibition will be on display in the Wilderspin Schoolroom so it will be affected while we mount the artwork on Thursday 26th November.  Visitors wishing to view the room as it was in 1845 would be advised to schedule their visit from the 5th December onwards when the room will be returned to its normal layout.
