Rex Russell Memorial Saturday School
In partnership with Barton Civic Society, a typical day-school favoured by Rex Russell and his students is re-created with a focus on the Barton Enclosures of the late eighteenth century and a local “field trip” exploring the town’s Victorian legacy.

Dr. Martin Watkinson FSA stumbled across the memoirs of Barton solicitor and antiquarian in an American university library and discovered that they shed light on life in the town at the end of the 1700s.
