Waterside Walk

Discover Barton’s industrial heritage on a guided walk of Waterside, featured earlier this year as part of our Humber Stories project supported by the Humber Museums Partnership. Meet at Maltkiln Lane / Waterside Road at 2pm – booking required (01652) 660380. Free. 60 – 75 minutes. The walk ends at The Point, on the Humber Bank.

Helping Hand – 100 Years of Hesslewood

Pop-up display curated for the centenary of Hesslewood Orphanage in 2021 exploring the history of Hull Seamen’s and Hesslewood Children’s Trust. Thursdays – Sundays, 10 – 19 September. Free. Please note that on Saturday 19 September, the display can be viewed until 12 noon only.

Everyday Histories – A Clean Sweep

Jethro Vivian shares insights into the history of the trade and evokes memories of the annual chimney sweep’s house visit. 1.30pm. Free – booking not required. Refreshments included.

Join us at 1.30pm for a walk-through our display costume in the historic school rooms and find out how our volunteers research and make them. The tours lasts one hour. Booking not required. Free.
